John Sullivan's practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, particularly those involving purchase and sale, Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, title insurance, leasing, financing, construction and development – with particular emphasis on Green Buildings and sustainable development.  He is both a real estate attorney and a LEED® Accredited Professional (AP) – one of a handful of attorneys in Washington to earn this designation from the U. S. Green Building Council.

“My approach to client service can be summarized as ‘forward looking.’ My goal is to do my job in a way that prevents future problems for our clients. By paying close attention to details and by looking ahead, I’m able to address potential problems before they arise.”  John represents buyers, sellers, developers, lenders, borrowers, landlords and tenants.  In addition to sustainable development, he has substantial experience in leasing, mobile home park financing, planned residential development, condominiums, and issues relating to Indian land.

John’s expertise adds value for clients beyond the transaction itself.  “When we help clients conclude their real estate transactions quickly and cost-effectively, they can move forward and focus on what they do best – their own businesses – knowing that we’re protecting their interests.”
