You get an alert that someone has posted a review of your legal services. You check it out and it’s a glowing 5 star review of your legal services. Fantastic! Unfortunately, you’ve never heard of this person and they were never a client of your firm. Your online rating has soared but your gut is telling you that something is not quite right. What are you supposed to do? Are you required to do anything?

Avvocating 2012

I drank the AVVO Kool-Aid.

Last week I attended Avvocating 2012 here in Seattle. I first heard about Avvocating after hearing Mark Britton speak at the WSBA Corporate Counsel Section quarterly dinner in February. If you have never heard Mark speak live, I recommend you look for the opportunity to attend one of his speaking engagements as he is a dynamic and thought provoking speaker. And calling his professional background admirable is an understatement of laughable proportions.
