SEATTLE, March 8, 2017 – Short Cressman & Burgess PLLC, one of Seattle's oldest law firms, has named Paul J. Dayton as Managing Partner of the firm.
Dayton will continue his active litigation practice while overseeing the day-to-day operations and strategic planning of the firm.
Dayton litigates unfair trade practice claims, complex environmental issues, shareholder and partnership disputes, and many forms of contract disputes. He regularly speaks at regional and national continuing education programs on litigation issues and was recently published in the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section quarterly newsletter The Brief. He authored the article "Ethical Conflicts in Mass and Class Action Settlements: Ethical and Effective Mediation Techniques in Toxic Tort and Environmental Litigation."
Dayton is preceded by Scott Missall, who served as Managing Partner of the firm 2016-17; Missall will continue his practice.
